The Power Fist has been a staple of the Fallout universe since the series’ inception, and now it’s back and better than ever in Fallout New Austin! This mod revitalizes the classic weapon with a blend of nostalgic design and expanded functionality, making it a must-have for any Sole Survivor.
A Redesigned Look:
Inspired by the Fallout 3 and New Vegas versions, the Classic Power Fist boasts a bulky, intimidating design that dwarfs the user’s arm. A sleek energy cell compartment sits atop the weapon, grounding it in Fallout’s retro-futuristic universe. Other inspirations include vintage cars and motorcycles, adding that distinctive 1950s flair missing from Fallout 4’s vanilla design.
Extensive Customization:
We’ve addressed the lack of modding options in the vanilla Power Fist by introducing 8 unique modifications:
- Reinforced Block Mod: Adds extra damage and increased chances to cripple foes.
- Spiked Block Mod: A brutal variant with enhanced damage and legendary-style effects.
- Blade Mod: A sharp addition that causes bleeding damage and physical pain.
- Zapper Mod: Delivers electrical damage with a chance to shock enemies.
- Heated Mods (Standard and Advanced): Inflicts fire damage, with the advanced version increasing the odds of setting opponents ablaze.
- Boxing Glove Mod: Reduces damage but increases stagger and knockback effects, ideal for tactical brawlers.

Design
This weapon was heavily inspired by the various power fists found in Fallout New Vegas. I really enjoy those fully enclosed design and how they look closer to a product rather than industrial machinery, like the fallout 4 power fist. Other inspirations were hot rod cars.
For the various attachments I wanted to specifically focus on having a large variety within the weapon but keep it into a specific theme of some being hand made and having officially made variants. This idea has actually informed us on other weapon designs as well as a some gameplay ideas.
